Can a building change the world?
Izzy Asper had a dream, to build an international centre for human rights debate and education in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
However large symbols make for large targets, and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is no exception.
This story follows a group of high school students as they tour the newly completed architectural icon. Through their eyes, we discover the concept of this 'Idea' museum, what it hopes to achieve and the challenges faced by a persevering group of citizens as they negotiate politics, social stigmas and personal tragedy to realize one man’s dream.

Izzy Asper rêvait de construire à Winnipeg au Manitoba (Canada), un centre international pour les droits de la personne, où l'on pourrait sensibiliser le public à l'importance de connaître et de protéger ces droits.
L'histoire raconte la visite d'un groupe d'étudiants, tandis qu'ils font la visite de cette toute nouvelle figure emblématique de l'architecture.
À travers leur regard, on découvre le concept de ce musée qui présente une idée et non des artefacts. On comprend ce qu'il cherche à accompir et on mesure l'ampleur des défis qu'un groupe de citoyens tenaces a dû relever, en louvoyant à travers les négotiations politiques, la stigmatisation sociale et les tragédies individuelles, afin de réaliser le rêve d'un seul homme.
